About Me

My name is Ana Moore, and I am a qualified and Pre-Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist based in Cavan. I am originally from Lisbon, Portugal and moved to Ireland over thirty years ago. Sometimes, we encounter obstacles in life that can be challenging to overcome. I will listen and offer guidance to help you overcome those challenges. Not every client has the same experience, and I will be able to offer an integrative and pluralistic approach to cater to each individual. We can work with those challenges by integrating different approaches and working collaboratively with you.

I hold a BSc (Honours) in Forensic Psychology, a BSc in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, an MSc in Pluralistic Counselling and Psychotherapy and a Specialist award in Child Psychology.

I can offer sessions in English and Portuguese to individuals 13+

I work with many issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, suicidal ideation, suicide post-vention, anger, self-harm, low self-esteem, grief and bereavement. As an integrative and pluralistic therapist, I use approaches that are best suited to each individual. Some of those approaches are person-centred, reality therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Existential Therapy.

I engage regularly in professional development to help grow my practice and keep up to date.
